Location The region around the Millstätter lake is famous for its intact nature, clean forests and pure air. The centre of this region is a crystal clear lake where you can swim between valleys and sunny mountain plateaus glancing at the gentle range of the mountains called Nockberge - a unique panoramic view which can`t be compared with any other. Here the nature of the lakes and the mountains offers its viewers a very special impression. This region of Carinthia in the South of Austria is especially known for its numerous sunny days and its favourable climate. The village of Döbriach is situated on the east shore of the Millstätter lake (sea level: 630 metres), there are 20 km to Spittal and 30 km to Villach. Our apartment house is located at the edge of the village Döbriach overlooking the valley and the lake . The distance to the lake is only 1 km. It`s a five minutes` walk to the centre of the village with shopping possibilities, restaurants , taverns and bus terminals. Döbriach`s bay offers gentle sandy beaches and several bathing resorts. How to get there Guests arriving from the north are recommended to proceed via Salzburg and then to take the Tauernautobahn journeying South. Turning off to Millstatt following the road past Millstatt another 12 Kilometers to village of Döbriach. Passing the church the first house on the right is Gauglhofer house with the 3 holiday apartments. A short distance further and the timber house is plainly visible. Guests arriving form the south or the east are recommended to take the motorway junction Villach proceeding the Tauernautobahn into the direction of Salzburg. After some kilometres leave the motorway and take exit "Villach Nord". There you turn right following the road to Ossiachersee , after 100 metres turn left following the road to Milstättersee. Passing the villages Treffen, Afritz, Feld am See, Radenthein you will arrive Döbriach after 20 minutes. The last house in front of the church on the left is Gauglhofer house with the 3 holiday apartments.
